This Website Speed Test checks the loading time of a URL so you can get a real view on how fast your website really is. It shows First Byte Time, Loading Complete and Total Render Time to give you a full picture on what specifically is slow.
An added benefit is that it tests from multiple locations at once. Here is an example test result with metrics:
How does this test work?
We have servers in all of the locations where tests are offered. On each server, URLs are tested with Puppeteer which is a headless browser and all the performance metrics are extracted. This allows you to understand what real users experience in that country.
What locations are available?
Virginia, Ohio, California, Oregon, Dublin, London, Frankfurt, Montreal, Tokyo, Sydney, São Paulo
Is this test free?
What you see here is free. Premium users have access to more locations and more tests.
How accurate is the geolocation?
Extremely. We have servers in the physical locations where we test which are used for our global site speed test. We are not using proxies so a test from UK actually runs from servers in London.
Website speed matters because it directly impacts user experience, SEO, and conversion rates. Here are a few reasons why speed optimization should be a top priority for your website:
Improved User Experience
Research shows that visitors expect websites to load in under three seconds. If your site takes longer than that, you risk losing valuable traffic. A fast website keeps users engaged and more likely to explore your content or complete a purchase.
Higher Search Engine Rankings
Google and other search engines use site speed as a ranking factor. A faster website improves your chances of ranking higher in search results, which means more visibility and organic traffic. Our tool can help you diagnose speed issues and provide solutions to fix them.
Increased Conversions and Sales
For eCommerce sites, speed is even more important. Studies show that a delay of even one second in page load time can lead to a significant drop in conversions. A fast website enhances the user experience, leading to higher engagement, more page views, and ultimately, more sales.
Lower Bounce Rates
Slow-loading pages tend to have higher bounce rates because users get frustrated and leave before the site fully loads. By improving your site’s speed, you can keep users on your site longer and reduce bounce rates.
